Ulcinj is the oldest town on the Adriatic Sea and also the southernmost town on the Montenegrin coast. It exits to the Adriatic Sea in the southern part, and the Bojana River flows in the eastern part. Ulcinj lies on the open sea, opposite the Straits of Otranto. West of Ulcinj is the famous coastal town and Montenegrin port of Bar.

Ulcinj, with its natural potentials, was destined for the development of tourism. One of the most important attractions of Ulcinj is certainly the longest sandy beach on the Adriatic Sea - Velika plaža is 13 km long. The influence of the Orient and Western civilization have left significant traces in this city and make it especially interesting for tourists. Although primarily recognized as a climatic health resort, Ulcinj offers plenty of facilities for a quality and pleasant vacation, from great hotels, through many restaurants, bars and cafes.
